So, your R4 (or any other flashcard) is not detected by your DS (especially lite)?

But it's recognized by another one?

Reason: Nintendo changed the size of slot one's contact, making them more short, and so, some badly made flashcards are not recognized by this new DS (or some old one)...

Here's the way to fix:

Open your flashcard front facing you:

Then rotate it:

And on this red part, place a little adhesive tape on it:

This will make the contacts between flashcard contacts/slot-1 more easy.

It doesn't work?

PUT ANOTHER LAYER OF TAPE on the first one!

And have fun!

QUOTEFAQ:

Q: I already tried to place some paper on my flashcard it doesn't work.
A: Placing paper directly on flashcard without opening it only act on the card's shell (already perfectly sized), the problem come from the pcb inside the shell which is too thin, so adding some tape behind the contacts, helps getting a good contact between flashcard pcb/Slot-1

Q:But... i don't want to open my flashcard, I'm scared

.
A: So... just return it to your reseller, or ask someone to do this for you.

Q:Is this dangerous?
A: No, as long as you do not use metallic adhesive tape and don't put too too much tape at first try (like 7 layer at once

).

Q: Can we reverse this mod?
A: Yes, as simple as removing tape. ^^

Q: Will my flashcard still work on my previously DS where it was recognized?
A: Yes, and sometimes even better.

Q:Success rate?
A: 100% for now (from what I saw), if it doesn't work, it's because your card is really faulty, or it's booting data is corrupted (so check dstt recovery if it's a dstt).
