Gaming Turn off magic gate recognition

I read some ware but I have forgotten where that you can turn off magic gate recognition in the PSP, how do you do it?

Break your PSP so badly that you have to regenerate the NAND using DCv8....i.e. Don't do this.

You're talking about IR Shell, a quick google tells you THIS and afterwards if you don't like the IR Shell XMB (or whatever it is I've never used it) then THIS is what you do.
