I don't know why it breaks the update, but from my experience and apparently others it is something that can cause the update to fail. Potentially because of the home menu being update? And I always keep an up-to-date backup when I know the system is fully working, but I deleted the one from when I didn't mod the home menu because it was so long ago and I had limited PC and SD card space.What exactly is this about home menu modding breaking the update?
