Inside the ticket folder, there's the ticket from a game. Inside the content folder is the tmd, and the app itself, and inside the data folder, that's the savegame.
So, you need to copy the 4 files to preserve the save progress? I mean:

- ticket\ 00010001\xxxxxxxx.tik
- title\ 00010001\xxxxxxxx\content\title.tmd
- title\ 00010001\xxxxxxxx\content\00000001.app
- title\ 00010001\xxxxxxxx\data\xxxxxxxx.dat

???

I'm saying, that the save is what is inside the data folder. And the rest is required to run the title.

in the newest version Beta 8, i keep getting reading tmd failed and .dol loading failed yet they worked fine before or itll read the tmd ok, but then fail at the .dol loading, then it asks if i want to use the nand laoder, and when i do that it just goes to black screen..

can anyone play Swords and Soldiers with Beta 7 or Beta 8 via USB or SD?

And GolfDude - Same problems here.. There are some major issues with Beta 8

Oh, OK... thanks for clarifying the doubt

!

By the way, I didn't have any problems with Triiforce loader until now:
It seems that "Adventure Island: the beggining" game is having some issues during the gameplay: it takes too much time to load new scenes (the screen keeps in black for 30~40 secs.). I'm talking about it since several users have reported the same problem in other forums.

Additional data: the game has IOS55 as IOS flag. I checked other games but seems that's the only one who uses that IOS.

See ya!

I had the same error as others:
"Reading TMD...ISFS_Open/title/80ea5e58/80ea5e58/content/title.tmd failed -106
Reading TMD Failed
.dol loading failed"

I found out that it is because the uid.sys file gets f-d upp when trying to launch a game that isn't already listed.
So I edited the file, removed the bad entry and manually added the games and it worked

I'm trying to run Mario Kart 64 NTSC-U off of my usb nand on my ntsc wii and it reads the tmd, tickets, and certs then it says
"ES_Identify...Error ES_Identify (ret = -4100:) Data invalid
Identify failed"

any idea whats going on? I'd like to think it has to do with an IOS being ES_identify patched but i dont know which one that would be for mario kart 64 especially since when i install that same wad on my wii it runs perfectly

EDIT: just installed pal version of mario kart 64 and forced ntsc and it worked perfectly. Wonder why the ntsc version isnt working?

Same error here for most of the games I tested (a few work though). Does it have to do with IOS being trucha patched?

Yeah, would be nice to know the difference...
I had an issue where the 'Ant Nation' WiiWare wouldn't work on Emu NAND when installed from ShowMiiWads, but worked on actual NAND... and also worked on Emu NAND when I make a dump of my Wii with it installed.

^ Perplexes me...
Obviously something isn't installing correctly

PAL Wii 4.0 using Triiforce 7 via USB HDD - having problems with a load of Wiiware (including stuff that's listed as fine on the Wiki), tried installing via WAD manager, showmiiwads and wadtonand. Keep getting a black frame with large type telling me that there has been a problem, disconnect everything and power down the Wii (or words to that effect).

Could it be due to my Wii still being 4.0, could a 4.1 update fix this?

For me I found that most of the problem lauching the games is caused by a corrupted /sys/uid.sys

Quick fix is to delete the /sys/uid.sys file in the nand emu.

Its the first thing I do now when games can't start.

Thanks, I'll give that a go. Also realised it could well be a 002 error so either needs patching or IOS installing. Compared to running ISOs, WADs are a flakey pain in the arse.

Correct very easy to stop working, don't know what is causing the corruption. Even if uid.sys is ok now, but play a few more games and it mysteriously gets messed up again.

Instead of deleting, now I think a better fix is to keep a good copy of uid.sys in /sys under another name. When it corrupts, use WiiXplorer to copy it over the bad one.

If replacing this file fixes the issue, then I suggest that a copy of this file be compiled within triiforce. Then either triforce will be able to write this file automatically or give the option to overwrite the file before trying to boot the game. since this is the emulated nand, I really don't see any harm and using just a genaric copy from a new wiil. I have a copy of a nand dump from a brand new wii that has not run anything, so this file should be as clean as possible if the developers would like it.

The uid.sys is just a list of the installed title IDs on your wii, meaning it's different for every console. So a generic one is not the best solution.
It would be better if Triiforce checked the file to see if it was corrupt and that the title ID is pressent before trying to launch the title.

I don't know if it is beta 7/8 or the 4.2 update that is causing this but it didn't happen pre 4.2

And thx for this great app

I wondered about this. I'm using a simple FS dump of my NAND taken from my hacked Wii - however I have the original BootMii NAND taken when my Wii was still virgin, is there a way to decrypt that original NAND in a format that Triiforce will recognise?

wiinand can apparently open a bootmii nand dump and extract files from it.

I've been using bootmii nand.bin dumps for a long time, I never knew there was a tool made for it.

I've been doing this
http://forums.dolphin-emu.com/thread-162.html
In this guide you want to...

1 - Download the apps
THEN (my quick edit to make instructions small)
1 - dump nand with bootmii, you will get "nand.bin"
2 - run nand-aes-dump.exe and it should extract your AES key from your nand.bin into a file called nand-key.bin
3 - proceed by opening the cmd.lnk and a command prompt should pop up
4 - in command prompt type --> "NAND-bin2raw.exe nand.bin nand_dec.bin" (without quotes) and press enter
it should start the decrypting process and you should now have 2 bin files: and encrypted and decrypted nand dump.
5 - now comes to final part : extracting all data from bin!
now type in that command prompt "zestig.exe nand-key.bin nand_dec.bin nand" (without quotes) and press enter.
it should have decrypted everything and placed it into a new folder called nand.

Think I'll check this new app out and see if it is just as good or better or buggy compared to my method.

So triiforce was fine and now suddenly it is causing a code dump every time i try to emulate the usb nand but triiforce mrc works fine in everyway. the only thing i can think of that has changed is that i upgraded from a 28mb to a 4gb SD card. i just simply copied everything over to the 4gb SD and its not an SDHC either just a SD. triiforce works fine when i select the real nand but when i chose usb it starts to load then immediate dump. any ideas what might have changed to cause this now? I also tried deleting the uid.sys but that didnt work either

on 4.1U

thanks
