So hook types is only in relation to ocarina? I was always under the impression it had something to do with launching the game in general. If not, then I guess that's why I've never used it. I've never used ocarina.
 
It has to do with the gerneal launching of games, ALL hooktypes can reduce the game compatibilty and introduce bugs.

Hooks are required for Wiird and Ocarina, if you don't use them, turn the hooks off. (Next version will not bug about hook not patched in this case...)

TriiForce does not load channels, only exception may be the new HBC, because it has an unusual title id.

If we change the title ID of a channel ie. internet channel, to resemble a VC title ID, will triiforce be able to load it?
 
no need to change any of your title IDs. just for shits and giggles i changed the source to boot the system channels and not ww/vc and it works fine. so you could change the code to list both types of channels and they would work. but i don't see what the point would be. why would anybody care to be able to boot the mii channel with ocarina? or why would you care to boot the weather channel on a emulated nand?
 
Darklord doesn't work even with an existing save, I transferred my save from the real NAND and I get the "Wii memory can't be read" error.

Internet channel is not a system channel (i think), and it takes up 200+ blocks on the nand. 200+ blocks could be used for homebrew forwarders, apps etc.

I think all channels take up space on the nand (some reserved space, some not reserved)

Edit: well, i'm not good at these things, but i tried to change the title ID of the internet channel and got it to show up in triiforce, however it failed to load. Probably beacause I didn't change the ID or TMD properly or something, or maybe its just incompatible after all... Hence why I would appreciate your build (aka skilled person effort lol)

I could use this as well. My kids still use the check mii out channel and the everybody votes channel, and it would be nice to run these on an emulated nand and free up some space on my wii.
 
The internet channel is a downloaded channel. It falls in the same category as ww/vc. But it starts with H, (http://wiibrew.org/wiki/Title_database#000...Hxxx_:_Channels). Since this is meant to be a ww/vc loader only, they have decided to hide titles starting with H. You just need to remove that 1 little bit and you will get the 0x10001/H??? channels showing up. To see more than 1 type of title, you would need to do a bit of coding to the stuff that gets the list and the part that loads the title.
 
Do you get this on every title?

"Out of memory" should only pop up if a memalign fails. I need more info on this.
 
I tried between 10 and 15 games and only Toki Tori works.
But the compiled beta you posted in the first post works perfectly.


I just wanted to make a version with USB-NAND selected by default and with a modified (and smaller) background.

Here is my source with any modifications except the background, with the original SVN main.c. I also tried to use your background and it doesn't work neither.

Which libogc do you use? I use the svn libogc, which has some changes to malloc and memalign i think. It uses mem2 if mem1 is filled.

3.4E, Triiforce beta6, PAL 480p, IOS249v14, all tried using only default settings (no hooks etcs). I find that just reloading the System Menu (from Preloader, for example) will remove the Wiimote sync problems. Minor update as of 11/10/2009. I don't know how to edit wikis, so someone will have to add this...

It shows a menu with all games instead of having to cycle through them. When you push A button, it shows the original hook, ocarina & debugger menu.
The game selection shows a banner of the selected game.

Create a directory called triiforce on your SD root and place all images included in the zip file. Then run triiforce_mrc.dol.
Quickly you will see how it works, so you will be able to create your own 'banners'.

Beta 6 works great for me. The "mod" with the images code dumps just after displaying the menu screen momentarily. (4.2U)
 
I know what is causing the code dump, it's fixed now.

Next version will have a new GUI and will save independent options for every game.
NOTE: Banners will not show stretched.
