My psp all of the sudden acts like the triangle button is stuck, and It pretends it is being held down. I really down know what else to say, other that its a 1000, kinda old unit.
Can someone help?
Every few minutes, like about 5, it stops pretending, and I can KINDA use my psp, because when I press triangle again, it just gets stuck again

You dont really need a guide, you just need to be careful. Dont put any pressure on the screen and just remeber where everything goes. The faceplate is really easy to remove, there are 4-5 screws on the back and the one on the bottom will most likely break, no big deal. But overall its quite easy to remove the faceplate, you just have to be careful not to put pressure on the screen.

look it up on youtube.
there are screws behind the battery, under the sticker as well.
also, a screw at bottom of the PSP, which breaks easily.

i guess you won't really need to look it up, since you just want to look at the keys.
so those are where the screws are, besides the obvious ones.

How much into the PSP would I need to open up to get to the arrow buttons?

Just about 5 screws, there are 4-5 on the back and one on the bottom. You just remove the faceplate as I mentioned before, dont put any pressure on the screen, its quite easily damaged.

Sorry for bumping this but my problem is still really annoying.
I opened my psp, and cleaned all the contacts, and now it got worse  before I could blow on the triangle button to make it better, but now it wont even work like that anymore

All you need to do is remove the screws around the psp faceplate and open it up.

Check where the Triangle button hits and clean it. you might also want to check if anything sticky isn't on the button it self
