Hacking Question Transfering SD Cards

If I drag and drop the nintendo fold on the sd card to an upgraded one along with my cfw files, will it corrupt the games?

I find this preferable in my case since I dont have the space on my pc to make a backup image.

That wont work, you need to do a byte to byte copy of the card. Regular file explorer will not do this.
