My touchscreen isn't responding in the right places. Like when I touch the letter A in pictochat it instead goes to shift. And when I try to color the whole box in Pictochat I can't color like the last 2 centimeters in the right of the screen. This isn't only for Pictochat but for every game. When I touch something it doesn't work so I have to touch a centimeter to the right of what I want to touch so it will work. When I try to calibrate the squares just circle around. My DS lite has no scratches. And it was like this for about 1-1.5 years already and now it just got annoying. I really don't want to buy a new touch screen or anything is there any other solution.

Also my L and R buttons don't work a lot. The only way to make them work I have to press it hard for it to work. When I blow it works for about 10-20min then I shut my DS off put it in my pocket and then when I want to play again the L and R don't work again and I have to blow again and it gets annoying.

With the touch screen being off, yah that's what happened to my DS when I played pokemon ranger on it too much. The best thing you can do it try and calibrate it.

Calibrating doesn't work I was trying for 30min already and it keeps going in a circle.

Yah that's what happened with me too...

You can do one of the following:

1. Learn to live with it (I did for about half a year)
2. Buy a new DS
3. Buy a replace meant touch screen from Deal Extreme
4. Or send it to Nintendo for repairs

My brother had the same problem with his touch screen and I think it's because he left it out in the sun for too long. It's like it's molten or something.

I found this program its called DSCalibration 0.9a but when I try the program I can calibrate but when I turn off my DS it doesn't save it. How can I save?

im not sure. i tried it before...
i have the same problems with my phat. i lived with it XD. when i use my bro's ds, its wierd touching the exact spot lol.

Have you try the local stores? Maybe they have some specific spare parts. If they don't, I guess you have to take your nds to the official nintendo service centre or get a new ds lite.

I had my DS for about 3 years. So I don't think that my warranty will work. And my Serial number on my DS lite is ripped off.

I got another DS lite that is broken but has a perfect Touch Screen. Will it work if I take that touch screen and replace it with the touch screen I have right now on my DS that has the wierd touch screen? I know I have to open it up but I am also kind of scared of my DS braking. I rather have a DS that has a bad touch screen then no DS at all.
