I got hand on an old Switch with those problems. My question is can I still control the switch with just the left controller somehow?

I want troubleshoot and for an example update the console and try to pair the Joycon but I don´t have an "A" button to use to get into the menus.

There is no response on the touch display and the right controller is not recognized by the switch.

Best Regards

Assuming you already have Atmosphere installed, this looks promising: https://github.com/cathery/sys-con. But it's still a bit of work to get that to work in a console that's partially functional - kinda a catch 22. In my opinion, fix the hardware first before trying the software - at least the right joycon.

Yeah Catch 22. I guess I would not get that to work without the A button to go into menus'

A sync would probably get the joycon fixed. But I can´t reach that setting.

Just found out he's doing alright, doing a lot of complaining too, rightfully so. Who wouldn't complain after having a seizure and being hospitalized?
