hi i had a problem with the fake firmware that deal extreme was selling
but now this is fixed.

i was reading in the forum that a member was using some diffrent firmware for the toptoy cart.
and they said they had no problems at all with updates.

which i downloaded and it works great with games
so on my ds its got ttds advance version v1.17a

the menu screen has a colour song letter and a blue joypad

all i remember was this was a beta open source

can anyone tell me where to find the updated firmware for this unit.

as i lost the main link to it.

thank you

AFAIK, there is no open source loader for the DSTT. I believe what you are thinking of is Moonshell which (on the DSTT, at least) is merely a media player.

As for the DSTT-Advance softare, it consists of the normal DSTT loader (renamed to TT-ADV.dat), moonshell and a preloader (TTMENU.DAT) which provides the initial choice between game loader and media player.

Where can you find the DSTT v1.17a (advanced)? I'd like to try this, but don't know where it is

IIRC, the website is http://www.dstt-adv.com, though you can probably find the firmware in the download area here.

FYI, there was a comment a while back that what the DSTT Advance people call 1.17 is not TTMENU 1.17, but actually a version of 1.15 from before the addition of the fake-killer code. That said, it is simple enough to add replace TT-ADV.DAT with a genuine 1.17 TTMENU.DAT with the fake killer removed.

you bought a fake noob. It isn't dx fault. It's your fault for buying it. They label it clearly.

Way to jump to conclusions... He wasn't complaining about that "noob", he was asking for a link to some firmware...

NOOB..
