Disgaea DS is Lengthy. and it gets crazier the longer you play it (Tho you Can complete the game within 10 minutes due to 1 out of the so many endings)
The World Ends With You. A Definite Success! Even if you Completed the Game there are so many Cool Things to Unlock!
Fire Emblem for DS (Remake from the NES Game in High Detail)
Final Fantasy Series.
Sonic Rush + Adventure.
So Many Games that you Can Call Upon

Mario Kart DS, Pokemon Platinum, Puzzle Quest:Challenge of The Warlords, Chinatown Wars, Air Traffic Chaos, 42 All Time Classics, Bomberman 2, Jump Ultimate Stars, Ninjatown, N+.

Hope you get some help from these.

I get addicted to all sorts of games that change every few months. At the moment the games I can't stop playing are:
Jewel Quest Expeditions, Peggle, Custom Robo Arena and Zubo.

I see many of you answered with a game in which you have to complete some kind of quest. Others answer with puzzle-games. But, isn't there a game, just like Pokémon or something in which you can do what you want to do?
CIVILIZATION REVOLUTION

Chinatown Wars
Final Fantasy Tactics
Ragnarok DS
The World Ends With You

Over the years these have been my all time favourites, I class a favourite as a game that has kept me engrossed till its completed, or at least 10+ hours of playing:

Zelda
Elite Beat Agents
GTA - Chinatown wars
The Sims 2: Castaway (i know i know, but it hooked me :|)
Trauma Center 1 & 2
FF Fables - Chocobo Tales
Mario Party
Zubo (loved it)
Castlevania series, finished them all
Yoshi's Island
New Super Mario Bro
Mario vs Donkey Kong 2
Phoenix Wright series
Professor Layton, finished recently and just started 2nd one
Soul Bubbles
Etrian Odyssey series
Final Fantasy 4
Final FantasyXII Revenant Wings
Orcs and Elves
Advanced Wars
Disgaea
Finan Fantasy Tactics A2
Lock's Quest
Brain Training
Lemmings
Hotel Dusk
Kirby Canvas Curse
Age of Empires

That literally is it

I'm a bit embarrassed to say it since no one else has yet, but I almost literally couldn't put down Chibi-Robo: Park Patrol until I beat it.

Chinatown Wars is super addictive, as mentioned.

I couldn't even play Final Fantasy because it was mind dumbingly boring. Even with max speed on recharge attacks it was so fucking boring. You'll probably like it if you like Final Fantasy, but otherwise it's pretty outdated.

Elite Beat Agents is addicting but one you get to the insanely difficult parts I find you'll stop.

Yeah me too. The game was really good IMO. Roaming around the park and planting flowers with some short mini games have never been more fun.

And of course like many said, GTA, running around and getting into trouble with the tank or massacreing people. Fun

And, Suikoden was pretty addictive, recruting so many characters then grinding them gives is somehow fun for me.

And Dragon Quest Heroes: Rocker Slime. Man, that game was addictive like hell, the tank battles were awesome, going around collecting the monsters was a source of entertainment too. Too bad it didn't have wifi tank battles, that would have been awesome.

ds game that i played wif the longest : the world ends with you ( hvnt played in like a year but the only rpg i completed on ds)

currently addicted with tales of hearts.. heard it needs 200 hrs on first playthrough -.-"
