Wouldn't it just be cheaper and easier to get power tag...it cost 15 bucks , comes with one power tag and you can get the NFC stickers and program those too? No solder , no having to worry if it works , just plug and play

problem is that the powertag has limited use, they burn out after a certain amount of writes.

I don't understand why people are complaining about the utility of this way to create and edit amiibos.
This. Is. An. Alternative. To. Already. Known (and many closed). Ways.
It uses Arduino, it's great for diy and makers, or to study how things works. It's not strange that many people has one laying around and they don't know what to do with it.

getting the things I need on amazon was also like, 8 usd (3 after I applied my amazon points) so it's also a very cheap method where you don't give money to a company explicitly for the privelege of "pirating" amiibos. feels better with using generic diy tools

(for those that don't have nfc phone or want to spend some 200 usd on buying a new phone)

found out that amiitool has been compiled for windows now, so you probly can write amiibo to ntags with windows now.

Really looking forward to Mario Kart 8 Deluxe and would like to use Mii costumes like I did on the WiiU but I don't have the toys anymore nor do I want to buy them either. :-/

This comes with a reusable NFC tag reader/card that's compatible with this program? I'm clueless about it and want to buy this bundle if it comes with everything that's needed.

yes and no. when you write an amiibo tag it sets the write lock bit, so it becomes read only. it HAS to do this to be recognised. so you can't re-use one tag as several amiibos.

short of patching the game that reads it to ignore the lock bit so you never have to write it, or building your own tag that will report it as set when its not? no

Technically AmiiBomb will works with Arduino Mega/Mini(with USB Serial)/Nano R3/Uno R3.
I can have many informations in Amiibo files.
The AmiiBombuino Flasher is pretty done, just messages and little UI improvements as to be done.
I need to add little various functions to do AmiiBomb more user friendly and put all strings in the multilanguages format.
After all of this step, I think all will be done to start a public beta release ^^!

Please, stop ask me for a private "beta/alpha or anything" release by PM.

you should all ready know when the beta is coming with out even asking he told us the full release will be coming out in a month so look at when he made the post then think 30 days from that there are 4 weeks in a month so even you should know that it will not be that long.

yes that should work. the data area of the amiibo remains writeable on the tags.

there is a small portion of the ntag that is read/writable, just like a maiibo.
