keep getting a error message trying to launch the application

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

I can't even launch the application, I download it and when I try to open it, it gives me an error message. It tells me to uninstall and reinstall the program to fix the issue. Any answers? thanks

I keep getting an error message saying I have to re-pair my controller every time I start up the program. Basically, my joy-cons just aren't getting recognised.

Update: after some research, I figured out my Pro Controller DOES get recognised.

does anyone know how to edit the stick device parameters to counter stick drift? not sure how to read the values to change them in the editor.

I just ticked deadzone value up 2 notches to fix mine. I think the hex value went from AE to B0.

I thought the drift is a hardware problem?

It's a hardware problem but you can fix it in software just like you can in PC games. If you set the deadzone slightly above where the stick is drifting you'll get rid of the drift. Why doesn't Nintendo just let you adjust deadzones to counter drift is my question?

yeah i tried 4 notches but its still drifting a bit, would be nice if the app could show drift a bit better like the switch does visually and allow you change it from there. or maybe calculate it somehow by having a neutral position, then you set the drift off and capture that state(likely manually clicking capture) and then get a converted number to an offset to apply. not a long term fix but at least you can avoid it for a little longer

It says that there is a connection error, but my controller is connected just fine. I have C++ compilers installed and the .net framework isn't necessary because i have windows 10 and it says i already have a version installed. i dont know why it wont open passed connection error. using it for a pro controller btw
