Binary =/= Hexniu said:you can convert binary (hexedit) format to extinfo.dat format.
it will solve almost anti-piracy game.
This is -=ALL=- hex.drwhojan said:Error code=-4 problem has somethink to do with infolib.dat or extinfo.dat for TTDS or ysmenu for R4
Take the game world of zoo (E)
If i use the infolib.dat from http://sites.google.com/site/weeklyinfolib/ , the game will get a error code =-4
If i use the infolib.dat from dsm0125.zip from http://gamewiki.jp/uploader/dsma/ the game runs no problem
But infolib.dat uses the extinfo.dat file
So it possable that we have to wait for a working extinfo.dat of infolib.datI think the 'infolib.dat uses extinfo.dat' is actually a bit backwards...
From what I'm to understand, there was an updated infolib.dat that works in conjunction with extinfo.dat. But if you're using an older version of infolib.dat that has been updated, it won't have the needed code to work with the extinfo.dat properly.
Anyway, the problem with the 'error code =-4' that you see on some games is a loading issue, not an antipiracy measure so a fixed/updated infolib.dat will be able to fix it.
And as I said... the problem is, I don't think anyone who knows HOW to update infolib.dat/extinfo.dat is willing to maintain it.
Also... QUOTE(niu @ Feb 14 2010, 10:41 PM) soorry for my bad english, i mean edit binary file
example
binary code = HEXEDIT
00004500: 28 00 9F E5 00 10 90 E5 28 20 9F E5 02 00 51 E1
00004510: 1C 00 9F 15 00 10 90 15 02 00 51 11 72 10 A0 03
00004520: 08 10 C0 05 8E 10 A0 03 C4 10 C0 05 1E FF 2F E1
00004530: 5C 26 13 02 94 70 13 02 34 5D 09 E0
00004A18: B8 FE FF EA
it can convert to extinfo.dat

That's the problem. There are many people who would be willing to add fixes to the extinfo.dat but it seems there is no western person who knows how to do this.scottieb99 said:I am willing to give it a try to maintain the extinfo but I just need some info on how to do so. Any tutorials floating around?
This actually looks promising. With this I can at least see the Game ID's and the hex changes made. Of course we still need to find someone with the skill to crack the AP in games before we can make any additions to the extinfo.drwhojan said:extinfo edtor beta, Hard to work out with bean jap...

Savlib editing is already possible and extremely easy with this tool - http://filetrip.net/f9814-DSTTYSMenu-Savli...itor-0-0-1.html
Indeed, but you have to know what you're looking for and what you're replacing it with. This tool itself does not crack games.drwhojan said:If you bubble click on an ID and click once in the popup box F5 key also has some functions
