Since tiny soldering guy has become almost like an official GBAtemp meme and people still use him in a meme manner quite alot despite it being many many years ago when it all first started out. Wouldn't it be cool that if he would become a recurring character in the GBAtemp comics ?
Lets make it happen !

I wonder what tiny soldering man is up to these days
Not getting ridiculed by tempers, that didn't believe that tiny soldering was a thing (when it was), probably. ;)

Also great choice for a recurring comic character. Remind everyone, weekly of the irrational mob mentality people on gbatemp were capable of. That only payed off, because the non soldering solution turned out to be quite workable. Which at the time not even devs were so sure about.

Part of it really was ridiculing them, because they tried to drum um business, when nothing was fixed yet - but gladly that was, when tempers made him show that they didn't like commercialism on their plattform and - oh yeah then SXOS happened, ... nevermind.

Well it was funny and the comics do use memes and i see that guy sorta as an official gbatemp meme so would be cool to use him as a recurring character. That way you'd also make from something that was negative to something positive.

well first off it was his own damn fault

1. he jumped the gun considerably we didn't even know anything about the damn mod chip at the time
2. he was advertising in the wrong forum
3. he was trying to drum up business on a public forum that's forbidden!
4. his pricing was outrageous
5. we don't like noobs advertising shit
6. the chip never got released and we ended up with a plug and play option (sx os) so he completely wasted his time (but not ours it was fun :P)

if we're talking about referencing old memes, what about petermary and his endless stream of gacube and lima332ds threads?

Yes let's further ridicule members...

Good job.
it's not entirely about ridiculing, I have seen people who had been ridiculed before but by becoming something like a meme or a character like what i am proposing would turn that ridicule around into something positive and strong instead. The key to succes regarding everything is making a bad experience or memory become something good that it will boost your standing and not let it define you but embracing it instead. Tiny soldering guy is not a bad person and he did not say anything bad whatsoever but the backlash he got seems to be something so big that he never seemed to get over that and because of that left the site probably. Situations like these make it so that a negative aspect towards someone becomes a good thing if he responds to it positively and embracing it, so that people in the end will end up loving him for that and remembering him for that above all else making the memories about him when the name pops up good and something they'll look at positively. I really don't get why you would be so against that when history has shown us almost everytime it happening like that in a positive manner. I don't see it as negative at all. I see it as something positive that would make it so that the view people had about him becomes less negative because of it and instead link it to a more joyful view if he decides to embrace it. How is that bad ? Americans mostly are 2 sensitive constantly and outraged regarding stuff constantly that they cannot see the bigger picture the world can paint for you and instead let it be painted with a brush that uses less colours. Not all negative and bad things result in it being bad or negative in the long run. The broader picture often paints an entire different story then being outraged over a small matter that in the long run becomes something good instead of bad. Nothing is bad from the start but it usually does become that because by actions, yeah a painting using less colours maybe safer but it also doesn't make it good.
