Don't go by that guide, get the textbook.pdf from xbox-scene.

Your 360 is flashable but you'll need to find out what dvd drive you have. before you ask how do i do that use this

They are, no one said they were not. btw i got my 360 on april and got a ben-q with it, so lite-ons weren't around on april.

i´ll buy a new xbox360 arcade, i don´t care if the drive is unflashable, when i bought the Nintendo wii at the first day i had to wait some months with Zelda to install the chip, so now i can wait some months with GTA4 probably
