We all have threads that celebrate the best of the best.
How about we have a thread dedicated to the real stinkers out there to avoid.

My personal pick: Blazblue Continuum Shift II

On consoles, this game is pretty good. But on the 3DS? Its controls just ruin the experience. You can't even re-configure them to use the circle pad if you wanted. You have to use the tiny D-pad which just isn't very good on the 3DS. This game is meant to be played fast and you just feel sluggish playing it.
And! It is not very well optimized either. Downgraded visuals and lag make it very un-enjoyable. And NO online play. It was a total botch job of a port in a time where the 3DS was just starting out.

At least SSF4 plays decent, and they tried something new with the port.

Dead or Alive Dimensions does overshadow these two by miles though. It's an example of how to make a great 3DS fighting game.

After all these decades, I don't understand why devs still make shitty games. Moreover, why they KNOW their game is shitty, and still publish it anyways. :/

Its probably because developing that game still cost them money, so by releasing it anyway, they are trying to recoup at least something out of sales from uneducated consumers.

This is pretty relevant to your question I think.

That question and most questions like it can be answered with "because money".

Project X zone.

What is it supposed to be? A strategy RPG game with a collection of famous characters from games and anime

What is it actually? A collection of famous characters from games and anime.

I really didnt mind blazblue on 3ds even though it isnt a great port and even the psp version was better.
Clonephantasma is a much worse game and theres always the bad movie tie ins green lantern and transformers which were real stinkers.
Also project x zone wasnt a bad srpg but maybe thats because i just enjoyed the visuals and am a big fan of many of the franchises represented.

Considering I only buy and play heavily reviewed games or ones I can try out beforehand, my "worst" games for the 3DS would be rather narrow. Of all the games I played for 3DS, Pokemon Y would be the one I liked the least. A lot of the improvements I feel could have been done back in Gen IV, Game Freak is still slowly accepting the internet, the interface feels like a step back from B2/W2, and the story seems to be getting worse with each passing generation. Not to say it's a bad game, just the one I like the least that I played on the 3DS.

You want the worst game?
Check out "50 Classic Games 3D". It's a retail game and it's now sold for 5Eur on the eShop.

- there aren't 50 games (they are like 45 + 5 different variables of a shitty jigsaw puzzle game)
- The games aren't classic. You got stuff like a particular mind game that you can only play once because there is ONE solution, a shitty slot machine, chess with idiotic cpu etc
- won't track your progress
- ugly and uninspired graphics

And, on top of all this, the game has the BALLS to crash your 3ds while playing heavy games like Solitaire.

I might do a review of it. Seriously, stay away.

The stuff of nightmares, I'm tellin' ya.

I actually liked it, but it got boring after 15 minutes.

My vote: Kid Icarus. Horrible controls and too many idiots online.

what? kid icarus is amazing...

I actually have a collection of 3ds shovelware for some unknown reason...
here is my list:
Rollercoaster Tycoon 3D
Freakyforms Deluxe
Battleship 3ds
Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars

Shadow wars shovelware? You may not like strategy games, and i am the first to admit that they are not for everyone, but to call it shovelware means you couldn't understand a good video game if it hit you in the head. We need more games like Shadow Wars on the 3ds, where the f*ck is the next Advance Wars?

I too thought Shadow Wars was really good. Surprised to see someone calling it shovelware.

Calling it the worst game for the entire console (over things like Farming Simulator) just because the controls didn't agree with you seems a bit excessively harsh.

I loved Kid Icarus (singleplayer) never played online though.

Hmmmmm ...
Spy Hunter was pretty crappy.
I wouldn't know much 3DS bad games cause I don't bother with them.

Heroes of Ruin, what a bad game that was! Never got further than like 50 minutes and sold it!

The worst game I played on my 3DS was Pix3D. I seriously hate this piece of shit so much I promised myself I would never buy another Gamelion game. Ever!
