Yes, you are right about the AK2i. It does not work on the latest 3DS update, so my only choices are the R4i Gold or DSTwo. I believe you are right so I will purchase a R4i Gold. Thank you again.

The R4iGold test on the dslite must have an anomaly. All of my experiences with the r4iGold have been excellent as far as battery life goes -- on any system. Its certainly better than the DStwo and the AK2i is disqualified due to lack of support and technical limitations (perma blocked on 3ds).

Sorry for necro'ing this thread, but with the advent of being able to use previously unsuable flashcards on the 3DS, would it be possible to now run some more tests in regards to both the Old and New 3DS? Had I the resources to do so myself, I would love to, but I also feel as though, if this catches more attention, there will be more demand for older flashcards, and how they fare on more recent hardware.
