Hacking The System Files are Corrupted

You have a banner brick.
The unbricker probably won't work, I think it'll only upgrade, not downgrade.

Yeah I love those maps. They helped me up to the point where I deleted the wads... with no success. Maybe I missed somthing. I tried deleteing eveything that was coded as Wii Ware... maybe I should just delete everything under installed channels?

Is there anything else I should delete?

Just make sure you don't delete anything important. Wouldn't want to brick your Wii permanently.

Haha... it's really hard to know what is important! I just stay away from the "system" channels.

QUOTE(Rykin @ Nov 22 2008, 09:36 PM) If you installed the WADs with WAD Manager, whyot use WADManager to remove them?

I did... it was one of the first things I did. No success. And since this error started happening after playing the WADs I installed successfully, it seems weird that it could have been any of them.

It could be some random error with the Wii, also. I say this because while doing my inital google search, I came across handfuls of posts by people who never used Homebrew/Modchips/ect and ran into this error. Their solution was to have Nintendo replace the unit.

It is a strange scenario. I'm sorry I can't help more. Best of luck to you, though.

At this point it does feel like a completely random problem.

LOL!

So, maybe this will help my cause, or maybe it will just be good for a laugh. After trying everything to no avail (see the thread) I came home from shopping to see my Wii Slot glowing!

Certainly, that must be a good sign?!

Well, I turned it on, and the error is STILL there.

Thanks for the help guys.

Use the Anytitle Deleter and Delete Everything it will let you Delete without bricking, Dont worry it has Brick Protection it won't let you delete the System Menu and its IOS so del all Channels and even the System Titles IOs's All of it, It should work if, it doesn't work USe the Wad Manager 1.3 ISO disc you can download from a couple of post below so you can install a update system wad to your wii this will Most likely work. Just let me know. If you need the System MEnu update Wad let me know

Dont worry about being Premantly Brciked People don't know what their talking about You can delete everything all channels and all System titles and all IOs's now it doesn't let you delete the System Menu and its Required IOS. now after doing that, the first wii game you stick in with a update will put your wii back to ORignal all Wii Channels and everything, i know cause i've done it.
Plus don't worry you wont loose any Wii shop downloads or Wii points by during this.

yeah like he's going to do that!

I'd use AnyTitle Deleter and delete most/all the system titles that show up after HAXX (HBC title). Those will be any channels you've installed after the installation of the Homebrew Channel.

You just risk losing games you bought from the Wii Shop Channel. If all your VC/WW is pirated... you should be okay deleting the titles that come after HAXX.

Why it won't brick him, It has Brick Protection it doesn't let you delete the System menu and its IOS you know that don't you. Man with all Experience and a Bunch of post
See doing that lets all your old Games Re-do their Updates, when you stick them in therefore re-installing all their IOS's and their wii channels
Also if a Corrputed IOS or Channel is causing the System Files Corrput it will take care of it.

But also more than likely its a corrupted Wii Channel they normally cause this OR it could be a Corrupted System Menu IOS which can be fixed by using the Wad Manager 1.3 iso DISK and install a updated System Menu .wad
IF you do all of this This completely take care of any System Menu Problems.

System files corrupted message is not specific to trucha errors or channels that are corrupted... There is a slight possibility that there could be a low level error in nand or say some special file (banner cache, channel order list or something like that) could be corrupted too...

The maintenance mode does not work for me.

OK, I downloaded Wad Manager 1.3 to give it a try... but now I get "An error has occured, eject the disk and reset... ect" on any autoboot that I try.

I assume that this is because I upgraded the system menu to 3.3 in the earlier attempts to fix?

Hmmm, I was wondering, why don't try SaveMii. Maybe it 'd help?

That shouldn't have to be a resort for me, since I have a WiiKey installed.

Yeah. Autoboot Homebrew discs are truchasigned, those discs don't work on 3.3
