I know I must download the firmware,unzip and put it in the root of a formated sd card but is their anything else i must do?

no need, just the clean ROMs of games will work fine

Edit: @ Pendor, no i didn't, I never really bothered caring/learning because my first card was dstwo

Okay I will begin setting up my sd card in preperation for when my Supercard comes. What is any homebrew you guy recommend? (P.S I know theirs a topic about homebrew that are must have for ds but I want other opinions)

It DLDI patches automatically (so you don't really need to worry about it). If you'd like the actual DLDI though, I know you can get it if you download Moonshell 2 from their site and copy dldibody.bin from it's directory.
