I have been playing The Orange Box on the PS3 for a couple of weeks, and surprisingly, the game isn't dead. There is a pinch of people playing TF2 all the time, and there always Is a server or 2 with over ten people. But the game can be laggy at times, even if you plug an ethernet cable. Half Life 2 is as fun as ever. I didn't get very far into the game because I already played it and both 1 and 2 episodes. Portal, is Portal.

It's kinda great playing these classic titles again.

But you still have to pay $20 for the Orange Box, which is the same price you can buy it on the PC.

I remember playing that ages ago (only had a terrible laptop at the time).

Very surprised there's still people playing it, almost can't believe it!

Love playing The Orange Box on console. Happy to hear there are still people playing on PS3. The 360 servers are alive as well even more so when the game got put on the back compat list for Xbox One.

i used to go out to the recycling center every couple weeks and look at the crts and other electronics people would drop off. Usually screens were broken or severely scratched from being tossed around. Did find a good one here and there, but never anything like a 1080i widescreen crt.

Is it piracy if it was released for free? Not in my opinion, but I also think it's not piracy if buying it isn't owning it, and it's not piracy if you can't buy it from the original creators anymore.

Free release can have loopholes where they still make money through ads
