Actually, there is a WIP NDS emulator for the 3ds that can play .nds ROMs. Here's a link (so you know I'm not lyingReverse engineering twl_firm to allow booting nds roms off the sd card. Probably won't see it soon if ever though.
Factory AGB firm or TWL firm were actually able to do this in theory....Reverse engineering twl_firm to allow booting nds roms off the sd card. Probably won't see it soon if ever though.
No matter how many people say "NEVER!" I think if you can use HANS for ROM hacking, I'm sure something piracy-related could at least be attempted. Knowing smea, though, as he's anti-piracy, that's likely why the HANS source isn't available.3Ds userland piracy might happen eventually.
...the HANS source isn't available...

But that gives us more to experiment with! What about a Loadiine-esque program that loads files from SD, piggybacks onto a 3DS application's and permissions, and saves its save files to SD?
XDchill dude . . . don't you know a joke when you see one
An interesting counterpoint would be that loadiine still requires a (modified) PPC kernel exploit.oh, alright, I was wrong and I am an idiot, (whick you should've known by now)
