Had anyone used WiiMC via Wii or vWii lately? Seems like some new media popped up in the navi/online media section.

I use WiiMC once in a while to stream music to my home theater, mostly because it handles FLAC fairly well, is compatible with SMB, and starts up faster than my HTPC.

The online media options never seemed to work for me, are you able to access the new content? If so, what is it?

There are a few new TV shows and a whole area of porn. I wish I could get the streaming channels to work but they always error out.

Oh ...I though it was dead? ...last time I tried to use it, YouTube was not working anymore

The YouTube section has been broken for a long time now...

You should also give MPlayer CE a try...
Because of its rudimentary/crappy GUI, I thought it was worse than WiiMC...

But it turns out that MPlayer CE can play H.264 files just fine (and even 720p files, at some extent),
where WiiMC stutters/lags a lot or even refuses to play!
