what is the flash card that you are using? if you are not using m3real or equilavent then you can either run the game by patch or bypass piracy code
i guess you patched the game and it will change the game ID. This will make codes doesn't appear on your DS

solution:-
a)you can either continue play the game with your PATCHed game or use a clean rom (backup game save and rename the backup save as your clean rom name and you should be able to use it)
the cheats should and would appear if you are using clean rom

b)if you intend continue the patched game to use the other cheats in the .dat! use r4cce the . . . function to check what is your game's id and change accordingly

PS: if you use clean rom make sure the piracy code is always on

I've having some troubles with the Dragon Quest V cheats on my M3 Real with firmware 4.8e (latest).

The Cheats are shown in the menu, but they don't work.

Piracy check is on. I have tried the clean rom and the prepatched rom and both have the same troubles.

Other games (like Retro game challenge etc) have no troubles with the cheats.

sorry, I am not using the patched version,(couldn't find one that worked..)I had the cheat screen, but what i meant was that there was no "Bypass piracy protection code" in it

Sorry if this has been mentioned before but I've tried everything to get these cheats working on my R4 and still hardly any of them come up. Eveything that's listed on the first page I've done and still nothing. I'd be grateful for any help.

have u try using ysmenu? have u check the game id? have u removed junk games? have u tried shifting the game that u wanted to the top of the list?

Thanks for the cheats, but I have a problem with the cheats on mi M3real (I have the last firmware, 4.8)
I began the game with a parched version, where the cheats didn't work, so I decided to use the clean rom ( when I advanced in the game), where the cheats works perfectly but the problem it's that when I save the game it doesn't save perfectly and replace my party by another where I am in a strange castle called Pankraz and I can do nothing because if I go up stairs the game crashes. Piracy cheack is on.

I don't know if this has been asked before (going through 500 Pages of discussion is too much to accomplish in a lifetime, but it would be in the cheat database if it was, right?), but I'd like to ask if someone is able to "translate" some of the Codes of Final Fantasy IV (U) to work for FFIV (E).

I've been playing FFIV for a while now, but I missed quite a few Augments, so I was like "Hey, let's try to just copy the US codes and try them on the EU version, it worked for some Dragon Quest V codes, too!".

Anyway, it didn't work, and since I have absolutely no Idea about how these codes work and how to make them work for the (E) version, I cannot do anything else then ask. (There seriously aren't ANY more codes then the few in your database for FFIV (E) in the whole internet, I mean, it's normal for european versions to have less codes then US versions, but this is going too far T_T)



My plea is:

Could anyone make a working "All Augments" code for the EU Version of FFIV?


One of these (U) codes should be perfect for my cause if they were to be "translated" to (E):

If you are just starting the game (no savegame at all), you shouldn't immediately activate cheats ! It crash down the ROM !

But often this happen when you attempt to activate too many cheats at time ! Try to activate one cheat at time ! It should work ! But some cheats make the rom crash even if there are only one cheat code activated !

So start the game normally (without any cheats) and try to go far enough in the story ! So try to activate cheats ! ^^

I've got this problem with my M3 Simply ! And this is the way to solve it (in my case) !

give yasumenu a try... at least it got better compatibility with cheats

here's a bypass privacy check code for DQ5(U) for those whose having problem with the one in the cheat database, I ported it from the (J) version:

Dragon Quest 5 (U)
bypass privacy check

not fully tested, but you can get off the ship and save fine in the first town (that's how far I've played), reload save file fine.

I am not sure why, I have the DS Simply M3 and all the cheats work fine, but it doesn't work for either of the Rune Factory games.
