A - Came there specifically because it focused less on politics and more on skill, and
B - Was pleasantly surprised rather than envious when he finds out skyrim dude had 100 in a skill, and
C - That made him happy enough to both train harder _and_ befriend instead of be envious
is what made him one of the best characters in terms of personality in that game.
