Known Bugs in 1.40
Please report any bugs you find in the M3 Sakura Bug-Reporting Thread.

  • correction..I thought I've already mentioned and reported this....
it's not try to load a different game that doesn't have Soft-Reset enabled that hangs Sakura

it's If you use Soft-Reset to exit a game and go back to the firmware, then try to load a different game that doesn't have a Save File (ex. a game you haven't played), Sakura hangs trying to load the game

  • oh yeah, I forgot to post a temporary solution to that hanging bug after using Soft Reset for those who wants to know:
just enter the NDS Settings menu before launching the next game by Sliding the game to the Left or push X or Y

  • I think wht happen here is that after soft reset, Sakura will hang when loading a game that doesn't have any settings file (the .opt file). Sliding the game to the Left or push X or Y will create this file so it will be no problem at all.

hi might I recommend adding a link to the skin making tool in the first post?
Thanks for the suggestion. I've added the skin tool to the first post in the Skin Resources section.

And for all my fellow Americans, Happy 4th and don't blow up your fingers or burn down any houses

Ummm I didn't really want to sift through 78 pages to find the answer, but I'm sure this was asked before. Is there anyway to globally change the settings on M3 Sakura? I want to enable soft reset across the board.

Thanks!
I don't believe there is

You'll have to set "manually" for every game..

that Option is available in the iTouch, and since some games (and especially newer ones) won't work with Soft Reset ON, I don't see the usefulness of it

Would it hurt to delete these files, as I have no use for them?
homebrew.any language not Eng
menu.any language not Eng
minigame.any language not Eng

And based on the readme,

Man i wish they would update the sakura firmware (And fix its long standing bug allready)

I know they are busy with the m3i zero but sakura is one of the main selling points of the m3 cards, and im sure people would want to use it on the m3i zero also.

Im sure they could fix those bugs easily (Unless Sakura was programed in assembly or something

)

Just dont screw us up, and keep the same firmware for both m3i zero and m3 real, it would be easier to maintain for you and wont give you a lot of angry people shouting at you for not updating the firmware of their favourite flash card.

hey guys,

I've just bought a M3 DS Real Rumble RAM Pack Bundle and I as read throught this forum, I realized that I have to download softwares in order to play roms on my NDS. Allright, so I have lots of question here.

1. Do I have to download any other firmware aside The Sakura one in order to play roms on my NDS lite?
2. Do I need to install Moonshell / DSOrganize if I installed the Sakura firmware?
3. What is a pass key? I've read on the internet that I'll need a pass key or something to unlock the m3 real card... Can somebody help me please?

I'm new to this stuff so I know nothing about this stuff.

Thank you for your answer.

1. No, all you have to do is just put the roms on your micro sd card and play them.
2. Nope, Sakura is basically Moonshell but better you can play homebrew, roms, movies, and music all from Sakura with no external homebrew like moonshell needed.
3. A pass key was something needed in the early days of flash carts it would bypass the NDS's security check and let you run any flashcart, but you don't have to worry about getting one because now flashcarts have pass keys built in.

hi,

thank you for your reply

now I have another question,

do I have to create the folders "NDS", "Themes", "Music", "Video",
outside the "System" files or inside?

I want to use a wallpaper on M3 Sakura, but M3 Sakura wont read the image files (like png bmp etc.). How do you fix that?

Hi,

Allright, so everything is working except the save game. I can open all the games I downloaded and I can also save. But then, when I try to load back tthe last time I played it doesn't find the save file. Can someone help me please?

Thank you.

EDIT: NVM, I watched a youtube video and I'm still confused... well I still need help.

I have all of my roms named "Release # - Release Name" is there any way I can keep this scheme but have it display sorted by release name (and still show the release #, like on the cyclods)? Also, I downloaded the version from here which said it has Narin's cheat db in it, but I can't figure out how to enable cheats. I checked the launch menu but no luck. This is on an M3i zero.

Densetsu, have you sent the french translation to M3 Team ? Because they put back their own translation which was really bad.

And do you think they're going to integrate the improvements of Moonshell2 (like more files formats supported, possibility to delete a file...) ?

Yes, I sent your translation when they first localized the firmware. I have no idea why they would change it, but if you could send me the French language file, I can include it in the download package on the first post of this thread.

I don't know if they're planning to integrate the other features of Moonshell 2 into Sakura, but that would be pretty cool if they did. Maybe you could suggest it here and g6team will relay it to the M3 people.

Yeah, I figured out that the CycloDS actually reads the file name from the header of the rom which is why they are able to do that. No big deal at all. Thanks!

EDIT: And what's the deal with Wii connectivity (namely for pokemon platinum to PBR) on an M3i Zero w/ M3 Sakura? Does it work? Again, not a huge issue just something I'm curious about.
