Releasing a hardly-ever-heard-of movie (I've only seen a commercial one time, no other ads) with the exact same target audience as a certain game coming out on the same date that everyone and their grandmothers have heard of?

Minecraft is a very different target audience. I have no clue if that's true or not, but they won't suffer hardly any loss on that date.

Funny thing is, I thought it was Skyrim at first. Anyway, I'd argue Human Centipede 2 was the least watched of this year.

Not sure I see the connection between the two, at least not enough of a connection to warrant the first post's hyperbole. I've known this movie was coming out for a while and only heard about the game a couple of days ago when Costello mentioned it on IRC. Whatever though, doesn't really matter, I was just curious what you were talking about.

Well, I didn't watched 300 yet anyway, and it's not like this movie is released the 11/11/11 in all countries.

You may want to refocus your efforts on the EU version then. Or, are you trying to make a better US version? In which case, the only way to make a better US version is to keep on plugging away at that one ;)

I would like to eventually have the ability to add more characters, enemies, even have a completely different story if i wanted. I already have the ability to change the tilemaps in the US version, so I can basically make my own map and warp to it in game - so I'm pretty far into it!
