Indie Royale has debuted its first ever "Alpha" bundle! Three in-development titles have been hand-picked that already have playable alpha versions. First up is Towns, a city building/management game mixed with an RPG. Next is 3079, a futuristic open-world action first person role playing game (whoa, that's a mouthful) with randomly generated content that claims to be the lovechild of Minecraft & Fallout. Finally we have Wyv and Keep: The Temple of the Lost Idol, a 2D co-op puzzle platformer.

Support awesome alpha games by helping to fund their development! Indie Royale purchasers are guaranteed updates until each game is complete.

...humble bundle also had a game like this, splot or something?
thats still not downloadable.

to be honest, i dont believe in paying for something that might very well be canceled later.
or to put it in better words, i do think that funding something isnt something bad, but funding means you should get something in return, something else than the product, for the risk and all

The difference is: Indie Royale is run by journalists from indiegames.com who played all these games and made them famous if they are. Humble Bundle is randomers using piracy as a guise. If I want to donate to charity I'll do it myself and spent money with my disposable income, not split my disposable income into what I'm being morally judged into donating to some random charity and the rest to game devs trying to earn a living.

Woah, dwarf fortress inspiration? Okay yeah I'll try towns.

Those are some pretty heavy accusations. Got anything to back them up?
