My biggest gripe with the Wii U is the lack of native internal 1080p resolution rendering of Wii games. Also, the vWii's video quality is utter shit compared to the Wii, from what people have told me; That makes me want to keep my Wii when I get a Wii U, and not even touch the vWii.
most HD TV will do it for you these days. so time to get a new tv? :P

i've looked at dolphin vids than i've looked at what it looks like on my tv in vwii. their virtually identical. and yes the Panasonic viera is a MAGICAL tv :P

I don't see how, I'll do a screenshot comparison, but there's no way that it can look anywhere as clear as they do on Dolphin. vWii only scales, it doesn't render graphics the same way Dolphin does.

modern HD tv's are able to convert and enhance lower resolutions without needing the resources dolphin needs. because well a tv isn't a computer.

This is the type of answer I would expect from a politician. Your TV isn't magical. Perhaps it has some sort of realtime filter that allows the image to look better than the average TV but there is absolutely no way your TV is natively rendering vWii games in 1080p. To rebut your claim using the same type of explanation: technology just doesn't work that way.

you have to actually OWN a modern tv to see it. by that i mean a tv made in 2014.

To quote Nathan Drake, "The Wii U just runs the Wii games in the Wii sandbox. It shouldn't be too hard to understand that it still doesn't upscale to HD like Dolphin does."

you have to have the tv to see it there's no other way otherwise. i absolutely love playing metroid and galaxy on this TV it looks fucking stunning in 1080p.

Whatever you say

There is no way in hell your TV looks as good as that right screenshot. If you want me to make a thread, I will. And no, I don't have to because I take the words of Dolphin developers over the words of someone who doesn't program. You can't get a TV to render 1920 x 1584 resolution for vWii, which is three times the Wii resolution, so...
