Can't figure out why. And I've taken the smelliest thing I can find and knocked on neighbors doors and for some reason they're always slamming the door in my face.

I think your best bet is to burn it all to the ground. Dumpsters, flats, houses, city, country, continent, world. Set everything on fire.
