Hmm, let's see what their webpage says...
"Not a fork!"
I stand corrected.
Yeah, that's what I actually like about it tbh, everything there is brand new and lacks weird design decisions due to historical reasons. And it's one of the few distros that have an alternative libc as its main option, it's pretty interesting.

what kind of issues?
To be completely honest, I forgot already.
I just remember they gave me quite a headache.

EDIT: Found it, "hmm, I like Budgie, but there's this weird white line in the right. It's only there when I click on another window."

--------------------- MERGED ---------------------------

But then I seem to have fixed that but left Budgie anyway, so that might not be it? hmmm

Not having that issue on Solus so it's probably a Ubuntu-specific problem. :/

EDIT: Oh okay. :/

I had that issue before with an early build of Budgie and the Solus team fixed it before I could report it. I haven't had that issue for several months now.

I use Arch (have been using it for well over a year) and alternate between i3 and xfce4 depending on what I'm doing. I write most of my code in vim, or in an IDE with vim keybinds.
Tbh just go with whatever you want because chances are you'll end up distro hopping anyway.

I like Arch and Antergos a lot.. Ubuntu Mate is pretty nice too. Solus is cool, I'd personally rather wait for more apps on it tho

I like Ubuntu. Haven't tried many Linux distros yet. Oh and Zorin is a good one too. I've been meaning to try Arch out but I hear its a pain to setup
