Cave Story is a fun, and can be a quick, simple adventure.

Chrono Trigger, it took me a couple of tries to really get through it. The first time I played, I think I got to the fight with Magus and just got bored. The second time I played it, I got bored even earlier. I found some motivation and pushed through the DS version earlier this year. With that said, the game is fun, but lord, it gets so boring if you go for more than one ending. It's just sort of torture yourself with tedium, get a new ending, rinse and repeat. I got the first ending for playing all of the way until the true end game, then I used the teleporter at the fair and got the ending with just Crono and Marle. I guess that was the hardest ending to get.

I have zero interest in playing through it again. At this point, it is just an RPG that has nostalgia dripping from everywhere that continues to make it sell no matter how many times it is remade. For the average game player, you won't find yourself enjoying the game more often than you may enjoy any other RPG.

Cave Story was also a freeware game a bunch of its ports are freeware ones.

Still, Chrono Trigger has had some re-releases but only one remake so far. I'm not a big fan of the game by any means but I don't see this as a big slap in the face.

Let me say yes i agree with that. I played it for the first time on DS and it took me a good 3 times of picking it up and setting it back down before i actually pushed through and beat it.
