I would play Chrono Trigger again on my iPhone as well as drain my battery a Dragon Quest Monsters title.
    Thoughtsss?

Sounds neat to me. I'm actually playing Chrono Trigger on my DS now for the first time. Pretty sad that I've never gotten around to this awesome title despite my JRPG enthusiasm. The more to experience this, the better.

Never played the game much, but not my type of game.

Also... not that it's really needed but... no buttons!

    Still cool I guess.

Wait, where does it say anything about android? I'd love to play it on my android. Don't see why not. I don't mean extensively in long periods of time. Besides, no reason why we can't see some good RPGs on the markets, considering both iOS and Android have that free RPG Zenonia, which isn't half bad.

Considering the fact Chrono Trigger is on DS and also possible to play on PSP use POPS loader, this isn't a big deal to me.

I [IMG] Chrono Trigger, it's in my top 20 games (maybe even top 10 or 5), but...will this sell? I mean, the mainstream/casual/non/iOS gamers don't usually flock to these types of titles, no matter how good they are, and they make up a large part of the iOS gaming market.

There are actually quite a few decent RPGs on iOS. I'll probably be picking this up when it's released.

If it's on Android too, very interested in this. But only if I decide to buy an Arc though.

I wonder if this is the PSX or SNES version. Or even the DS version.

    I guess [IMG].

Actually, this may actually be a good move. Putting these games up for sale on the iOS is probably extremely cheap, if not free (it probably costs a little, though, but not much). Therefore iOS users that are either curious, think they look/sound interesting, or are the target gamers will buy these, and even if this doesn't make up that much of the iOS mass SE will still make money since it costs so little to put them up.

the only bummer is that squeenix charges a buttload for these games... All of the NES/SNES re-releases are like 8.99 while the DS/PSP releases are around $15. kind of expensive and off-putting for iOS buyers.

    Well it IS a non-casual game. There's a reason the casuals cost a buck a pop, y'know.

will chrono trigger pass? hmm... check gamefaqs and look at zenonia's rank
i think they are not giving up on holding back on any future chrono titles. we need a new chrono although i must say that this game well, its unbeatable in its storyline and direction (ofcourse in its place)

SE coming in full force to the iOS and porting DS games. I wish they port even more games that are turn based or not real time games like crystal chronicles. CC was a great game but not easy to play on the iOS.
maybe ff3 ds can come too including ff2/4

i will definitely get this in one way or the other. please keep us updated as to when this is going to be released

Well and they might be riding on the hardcore gamers money alone as enough for justifying putting these ancient games on iOS.

Putting an app on the iStore is $100 to get it approved and $100 every subsequent year to keek it in the app store.
So they only need 7 people to purchase it a year to break even, and anything above that is profit? i would hope.

So im sure that they have made their money back on FF1, FF2, FF3 (enough to warrant a somewhat graphic upgrade from the ds) and apparently FFT is doing well enough to allow them to release Chrono Trigger (tears of joy) and hopefully some sort of Dragon quest monsters game (fingers crossed).
