shitposting sure is fun
Never has this happen myself, but I'd pop the fucker off with a butterknife and see what fuckery is afoot.
On Linux Mint's desktop pressing F1 jut brings you to this page by opening a new tab in whatever browser you've set as the default.
Yeah, i've used linux mint before. At least that page is sorta useful.
On W10 it just bing searches "how to get help in windows 10" in a new tab on your default browser
F1 on Desktop gives nothing on Windows 10 LTSB
On Chrome it opens https://support.google.com/chrome/?p=help&ctx=keyboard
Arch on XFCE pressing F1 does nothing
Doesn't do it on Windows 10 LTSB, there is hope :^)
(To avoid confusion, no I am not a windows peasant, I use it for college work and gaming where needed, Arch is still master race)
Where does Mint fall into these calculations?
On my old ded craptop, I multi-booted Windows 10, Ubuntu 16.04 shut the fuck up, i know ok, and Linux Mint 18.
My new laptop is UEFI-based and i'm too lazy to dick around with that, i'm like 45% windows peasant anyway. I'll probably install Mint on it Soon(tm).
Mint has been tried and tested about two times in total.
I used it for a few months (July-ish) ( before finding Antergos (Arch-derived) before moving on to pure Arch.
It's great and all, but me and debian (much less Ubuntu) distros don't sit well. The horrible Ruby support, bad support for old hardware and apt just being a bitch in general to name a few.
I enjoy the simplicity of Arch, and the huge customisation options, as well as how its extremly lightweight (90MB RAM with no DE, around 300 with basic XFCE)
However since I enjoy trying new things, if you were to say there was something I was missing about Mint, such as a new version or deriviative, I'd love to take it for a spin. I will always try something before passing judgement on it, because otherwhise its hypocritical (Thats how I got back into Win10 as secondary OS instead of 7, tried again with Anniversary update)
And because apparently we're in the EoF (y so serious, I know)
lmfao base Ubuntu needs to die in a fire, Mint does it a favour by actually being good. Ubuntu by default is a horrible piece of trash xD
And why would you dual-boot 2 linux distros, one of which is based on the other??
WHOOP THAT POST WAS FAR TOO BIG FOR THE EOF
fuck you i'm getting rid of everything and installing Hannah Montana Linux
which is is actually slightly better than base Ubuntu
Lubebuntu is SO much better though. ( ͡- ͜ʖ ͡- )
Be sure to use the latest 18.1 ISO images that have the new Cinnamon desktop version.
At least it's not base Ubuntu
@hobbledehoy899 Fuck I clicked the link on your sig again
wut the fkn
MIDI me up, daddy. ( ͡- ͜ʖ ͡- )
Can't tell if EoF or sincere
but Lubuntu is better than base ubuntu
fwiw Lubuntu is actually alright as far as Ubuntu-based distros go.
Although Mint is probably the best Ubuntu-based distro
wut do u mean hannah montana linux is a real thing and it's based off kubuntu, slightly better than base ubuntu
Never heard of Kubuntu, and I pride myself on trying almost everything there is
WHERE CAN I GET IT
I mean, I did say Lubebuntu...
It's here, but apparently it's literally just ubuntu with KDE instead. I was probably thinking of something else.
I will invent Xbuntu and fill it with porn >:^)
actually that probably already exists
EDIT: fuck it does
