    Probably a licensing issue.

if it was a security issue they would remove them pretty much immediately, as it at the end of the year, it probably some licensing BS probably expires at the end of the year

EA owns the rights to Tetris afterall, so maybe Nintendo is having trouble with them. :wtf:

Pretty sad about the original gameboy game getting pulled. But good riddance to Tetris 3ds, now the much less annoying Tetris Ultimate is out (no more ridiculous music and dancing Mii...)

C'mon people, this is just how the Copyright Industry works.

Want to sell Tetris Ultimate? Just remove all the other Tetris variants from the purchase options. Want Tetris? We have ehhh... Ultimate, Ultimate and ehh... Ultimate. Disney calls it the Vault. Others call it the Great Wall of Copyright. It will remain locked up there well beyond our lifetimes.

Tetris Ultimate is a better version anyway. A lot more customizable in terms of block falling speed, rotation system, ghost piece, hold, how the pieces are generated, etc.
