Unfortunately, while testing game compatibility my EZP became unresponsive. It no longer boots into the 1.05 kernel. Looks like a hardware failure. I purchased mine on Aliexpress so here is hoping after they review my evidence they will conclude the same thing and send a replacement. Not a good look for a new product very much in a beta state of functionality. Although to my knowledge, if my cart has indeed suffered a hardware failure this is the first report. My cart became unresponsive after loading Casper's Scare School Spooky Sports Day. I was greeted with an error message relating to the save and then the cart appeared bricked.

We've located a bug with this message and fixed it in the 1.06 kernel, I'm sure we'll be able to release the new kernel soon, until then please don't run "Casper's Scare School Spooky Sports Day! ". In the meantime we are working on a recovery tool for cards affected by this glitch.

That has to be a very major problem to which I'm surprised it wasn't fixed up until now. To everyone: do not run this game on your flashcart until it has been fixed, it's been proported to be down to a missing save patch.

Casper the Friendly Ghost has come to take your Parallel to the afterlife.

I want to thank the EZ Flash team for quickly investigating and notifying the community of the existing bug affecting the EZ Flash Parallel current kernel, as well as working on an urgent fix to address the bug. I also want to thank them for replacing my bricked unit. While there are still some outstanding issues (in game reset and sleep bug) holding this cart back from realizing its full potential, it is nice to know the team is working on addressing these issues and stands behind their product.

You guys really need to upgrade your change logs on your updates.

"Kernel 1.06 DOWNLOAD
Fixed a bug. A must upgrade version."

That's so .. wow ..
I really don't understand why it is so hard to tell the community and clients what exactly has been changed after an update it seems like to me that the whole "EZ-Flash Team" is one Person who fixes some bugs or changes some logs on a hobby measure, which rly made me reconsider my purchase from that company...

I'd say the slow SD access speeds is the biggest problem.

I agree that's a huge problem, and the FPGA, which is more advertised than truly enhanced, is just, in the end, useless. I give them the shot of perfect marketing; however, recycling an old kernel and using their own hardware to adapt to it is nonsense and indeed not a new product but rather a recycling of resources and wasted time. I hope they going to make a makeover of the whole software and the numbers don't lie. There is a market for ds Flashcards; however, if you are the only competitor besides bootleg cards, nothing will change soon, unfortunately.

Games with FMVs loaded before. The problem is that they stuttered a lot. The changelog doesn't mention fixing any of the speed issues (and you know they would mention it if it was fixed because of all the people talking about it).
I don't know what to tell you. The games I own with FMV intros before 1.05 would not load and now they do with 1.05. And games that were not quite at full speed now are at full speed. From what I can tell the changelogs are pretty vague, so I'm just reporting my personal experience.

Everyone is still reporting the issue persists. They definitely did not fix it.

This card is still the worst one in my collection, even with 1.06. My M3 Simply and Acekard 2i run games better than this. Recently got an Ace3DSX for less than half what I paid for this and it's also better.

I'm not sure the slowness causing FMV stutter (E.g. Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow) can be fixed in fw updates, I had the same issue with my M3 Real and that issue was never fixed afaik, it still does it in Ys Menu. Time will tell I guess.

What is considered the best DS flashcard?

Only bought this one because I only really ever used clones after I lost my Acekard 2i and installed Twilight Menu on the DSi.

1.05 does seem to fix issues for me. Games with FMV intros now load and just about all the games I tested ran at full speed except Animal Crossing Wild World.
Thank you for the info! If it's not too much, what are some games you tried for clarity? Also, what is "FMV"? I have never heard that term before

DSTWO or DSTWO PLUS by far the best flashcards hard to get tough and expensive 70-100USD

Having scrubbed through more video reviews of this product, it baffles me how many of these content creators are promoting the purchase of this product without deep testing. I cannot understand why, especially when they mention that they aren't sponsored. Even one of them mentioned not having actually used the cart for much, but still recommend it anyway because it has a nice build quality. The vapidity spreads misinformation and ignorant positivity. I can only speculate, but it is indeed quite unfortunate that they are pro mindless consumerism (or lying to their audience).

And I am speaking from a stance of wanting to like this product, but am hindered by its shortcomings. Namely the slow SD-card read speed.

Perhaps some of them did regret their purchase after testing, but lied in the videos so that they can spread their misfortune?

Idk. Tito's usually pretty accurate and honest about the pro and cons of a product. But I suppose he might not have had the time to properly test it and just took EZ Flash's talking points at face value. It's kinda hard to believe not a single one of them properly tested the thing though.
