And Soulja Boy for the fifth panel, with Nintendo talking to a lawyer in the background.

Seriously, all these comic strips are so weak, I see no point in posting these at all.

If you're gonna play ps1, you may as well use a proper emulator where you can increase the internal renderer. What a difference it makes...

Funny, because I'm pretty sure we had a "classic Nintendo" comic first.

Mind giving some constructive criticism as to why they are weak?

I wouldn't call retropie a dumpster fire. It could be a lot better in a lot of ways, but the retropie wiki does cover quite a lot and retroarch and the included scripts do cover a lot. Overall, it's a much nicer experience than trying to cobble something together yourself. What the PS classic brings to the party is only a handful of games and in exchange being heavily limited on what can be done--or at least, there's that needless extra bit of difficulty that gets you nothing.

tl;dr - Say what you want about retropie, but you actually have options (aka not retropie) with the Raspberry Pi because of the pretty substantial software support. The PS classic is probably going to be effectively dead in less than a year with no real future.

    Raspberry Pi 3B+: $37.34
    Case + power supply : $11.99
Controller: $17 (if I weren't using an extant one, but realistically part of the price)
Microsd: varies (but I'd need the same for a Playstation Classic)
    Total: $66.33 (more or less)

So, it's not that it cost "so much" as that the Playstation Classic is being sold so cheaply. Looking on Amazon, at least on paper I could get a $30 Android TV box with similar specs, but the reality is I'd be likely stuck with Android (Lakka may work, but it's a gamble). I also chose the Raspberry Pi over the cheaper OrangePi precisely because of the software support--going OrangePi is at best hit and miss given the many models and the questionable support from the various distros.

The point is, not counting the games there's a lot of competitive options against the Playstation Classic, and a large part of the problem with the Playstation Classic is that one really cannot count most of the games.

People shelling out hundreds for NES and SNES minis while I'm hoarding Wiis with Gamecube controller ports for under 10 bucks a set with my galaxy brain, hacking em all and being able to play more games.
