Hardware [Technical Support] Wii remote cursor not appearing in certain areas

This is very surprising. My wii remote works fine except for the cursor. The cursor ONLY works on the system main menu where you select games or channels. Inside any game,app,or channel the cursor will just not appear. So if I entered wii sports for example, then I pressed home to edit volume settings I am unable to do that because the cursor won’t appear in that menu. It only appears in the starting menu after the health warning. This also means I can use it before entering any channel so I have access to settings if that helps in any way. I’d appreciate any help... and I’d be interested to know if any other people encountered that issue.

I think that there is something wrong with the sensor bar

It might also be the port that you plug the bar into, or the remote itself.

third parties have incompatibilities with some games or homebrew.

This is my exact problem. Works on main home menu screen but won’t work on app or on the Wii menu inside the apps. IT IS NOT A SENSOR PROBLEM, OBVIOUSLY THE CURSOR WORKS BUT AS SOON AS I PUSH THE HOME BUTTON IT LITERALLY DISAPPEARS. Push the home button again to close the menu and boom there is the cursor again. If you’ve found a solution 5 years later, please let me know.

Damn... people still haven't found that Sensor Bar is sensitive to light and that you have to adjust it's sensibility in the Wii Settings?
