Worst case, I get banned from access to their servers.
So you are in fact violating licenses by using CFW and TX is violating licenses by selling GPL code and not providing the source to it. You do realize that you're both violating licenses.
Worst case, I get banned from access to their servers.
after the dmca it doesn't appear on google lols.. that proves stargate is tx.. isn't sx installer a copy of lithium any way? This so much. I swear they give it more attention than their actual paying users. It's really sad in a way.
no it's not. It's actually developed by Blawar. He made DZ, then renamed it to try to fly on the Tinfoil name. He also sold his code to TX, and probably gets paid a little sum once he updates SX installer. Then he made a DZ Tinfoil light called Lithium for some reason.i find it miserable that for such a stupid discussion, it takes 35 pages.. as a user, I wonder when that damn 3.0 promised for a whole 4 months will finally come.. and whether the domain will go back

Sx installer is developed by the same developer as lithium, blawar. They can't copy it cause lithium and tinfoil are closed source. I know that tx have many faults, my point is that complaining about them won't change a thing and it's annoying af.i find it miserable that for such a stupid discussion, it takes 35 pages.. as a user, I wonder when that damn 3.0 promised for a whole 4 months will finally come.. and whether the domain will go back

you are probably right, but you are selling piracy, which is a lot different than making a free homebrew with stolen code"can't copy" "cause lithium and tinfoil are closed source"
Maybe developers who complain about people using their code in a way it's not licensed to could learn a thing or two by this statement. (I'm not against open source, but if you put your code on a public page what the hell do you expect from pirates?).

I rarely even see the actual devs the code get stolen from complaining. It's always their shills."can't copy" "cause lithium and tinfoil are closed source"

What I mean is that SX OS have 2 illegal things:Xecuter sells tools created to facilitate piracy breaking licenses in the process.
You the end user use CFW which in turn you use to facilitate piracy in the process breaking licenses.
Eh ...
What I mean is that SX OS have 2 illegal things:
1.-Copyrighted files from Nintendo to allow XCI loading
2.-Open Source broken Licenses if a developer doesn't want to make a software exclusive to their CFW
it matter, but the final user wouldn't care, that doesn't remove the fact that Nintendo have all the rights to shutdown their websiteYes, I am aware of this, but if you're using CFW to play pirated games with what does it matter if the CFW you're using is breaking licenses or the law?
I wouldn't have a problem with the first point if this software was free
and for the second one, although I'm not ok, your point is valid

Deja Vu is:This... is a very true point... I was just going under that assumption, the next questions are, if it's something different, when will it be released as to avoid patching in future consoles and if it is something different what level access does it have
https://www.criticalhit.net/technology/modifying-your-console-is-legal-in-the-eu/I edited my original reply to your post reflecting the entire monetary situation and you made my point. Thanks.

By using any CFW you're breaking licensing agreements with Nintendo and depending on the country you live in might be breaking the law. Nintendo has much of a right to file a DCMA complaint against SX OS, Atmosphere, ReiNX, etc ...

If I hosted an open source project I would have to assume that someone bad would eventually use my code in a way I didn't approve of. I'm sure these developers know this too. How do they deal with it? I dunno, going around narking out people and throwing DCMA requests in their faces is sort of lame. However, I'm not sure how I would react to someone selling my code, but I would have to put part of the blame on myself for posting it on a site that anyone could see. Open source code has its advantages and disadvantages. I'd image that the best of people would just ignore it.
You're conflating a EULA (End User License Agreement) with the GPL Copyright License. So you are in fact violating licenses by using CFW and TX is violating licenses by selling GPL code and not providing the source to it. You do realize that you're both violating licenses.
The switch is huge and only been out a couple years. They still to this day sell modchips and all that other goofy xbox hacking crap you need. I'm pretty sure they even have inventory for OGxbox why would they ditch the switch during it's increased popularity when they still have a high number of users? Gateway had no way of keeping up with the 3ds scene they were muscled out hard largely based on their own inability to serve; despite that consoles particular popularity itself. With the way things are going for the switch they'll be able to thrive off it for years to come.I honestly think this is the end of TX, they got all the money they wanted, there are a lot of obstacles to get the amount of money they got again
Save this, once 7.X release, SX will officially die and won't update ever again
They're public.nice dox @linuxares
