Xecuter delivered. Xecuter allows backups and homebrew. Xecuter allows this with no need for a second tethered device. Other then this costing money I don't see any reasons why people should not like it.
Agreed, this is everything I expected of them and more. Hopefully we get some emulators and streaming apps running on CFW fairly quickly, that's all I really want added to my Switch.

Now that im thinking about it 10 bucks says some salty switch dev releases a free alternative out of spite in the coming days.
A free alternative exploit already exists, and free cfw is pretty much guaranteed, but you're not going to get a free dongle to launch the payloads in RCM.

I'm afraid this will just kill the spirit of the homebrew. Just YouTube be /Z8TSo3lIK00

All the fun, all the things being made for the scene, will die just because some people just want to make profit from piracy. A real shame.
Aren't they just trying to make CFW simpler to xecute, just like how jigs off of Ebay do the same, just for way cheaper.

Meh from what I see the payload only needs to be launched once and even then its probably doable over wireless using an Android phone.

Here are a few notes:
  • In the video you can clearly see the airplane mode is activated in the custom cfw this might lead to no online functionality (thus no eShop exclusives).
  • In the video a game needs an update which might mean updating games also is not possible (and no eShop access aswell).
  • TX means with their SX line they'll also bring more products. Those new products are not Switch products but a modchip for XB1 and PS4 (thus also their new forum).
  • It seems their dongle is upgradeable via the Option menu and using an usb-c cable with the dongle connected to your computer.
  • The CFW itself will be installed on your SD card, the dongle is only used for the menu loading on RCM and executing the CFW.
  • Games will run from your SD card aswell.
Those were a few things to note.

Am I missing something here? You still need to connect your phone to the switch, right? How will that be wireless?

How are you going to send a payload without a USB cable?

Android works, but not without a cable.

I suppose you only have to launch it once if you're staying in CFW, but you also have to launch it after each boot into OFW, no?

Wouldn't this be just for people over 4.1.0? As they might always need the jig. I'm sure at some point we will have A software "RCM jig" but will we always need to be tethered? What's the point of this for 4.1.0 & below?

I think they demonstrate it with the latest firmware.... and they are a profit group so thats why you need their tools

honestly with their resources I would have expected a super slim ribbon cable shim that sits in the rail permanentlyinstead of a jig

or maybe they could integrate the JIG into the side of the case for the dongle so its all self contained

idk, I guess the case did seem a little bit home made, so probably not the final design (if team xecuter steal this idea give me some moolah dudes....or a free dongle XD)...I could probably design a sexier shell myself with the jig built in B-)

the menu says boot cfw and boot stock fw.
im hoping this is a dual nand setup like x360.
would prefer that with a physical switch rather than emunand

Do you have a source for this stuff or is it just conjecture based on the video? It just seems dangerous to denote these guesses as "notes" or facts.
