CycloDS Micro and Mini can be use as a RAM expansion pack for the NDS’ slot2. This means you’ll be able to run the Opera browser or other applications which require RAM! Moreover, the CycloDS Micro or Mini can be used as an expansion pack to play GBA roms! The GBA roms WILL NOT require patching, which is another world first for Evolution….

from "modariffic", sound interesting.
but it also sounds expensive.

They've said it's just several simple BMP replacements (including buttons, etc) at the moment, with a file similar to theme.ini for the R4.

Hey, have any of you guys heard the news? This cart is going to support SHDC microSD

Edit: Some GUI screen shots have surfaced too. Link: http://www.teamcyclops.com/forum/showthread.php?t=102

Hmm, they really look like the R4's menu, even to the cheat menu.

Doesn't say whether both screens will be used or not.

While that is pretty cool, it dosen't really mean all that much as the cards are going to be ridiculously expensive at launch (I think the smallest SDHC is 4GB) which even in memory stick duo size (which is already well established and been around for a while) is still pretty expensive.

It's nice to see some innovation though!

whats the cheapest 4GB one that you can buy online? i tried ebay i couldnt find... id love one if it was at a reasonable price.

Ugh. The menu is ugly... It's like a direct copy of the R4 layout.

I don't think Sandisk 4GB microSDHC are easy to find.

QUOTE(Nescafe @ Jun 8 2007, 03:14 PM)so its a new slot 1? does it come with gba support?

It does not support GBA directly. You will need a cyclods slot 2 to run gba, supposedly without the need to patch roms. This feature has only been announced - it is not implemented yet so there is a possibility this will never happen.

so uh...whens that review coming ?

not rushing, just thought we would see a review before they hit stores

If they pull off the GBA thing, it'll probably suffer from the same slowdowns and poor compatibility of the Supercard line, considering all of Cyclops's Slot-2 products have been Supercard clones.

Although on the upside that'll mean it would probably work with standard (non-rumble) Slot-2 Supercards, and a lot more people have those than have a Slot-2 Cyclops card.

This feature already works on SCDS1. I'm playing Ninja 5-0 right now using a SCCF as my ram pack
