Looks like you can do some pretty evil stuff now, and that's all thanks to Nintendo not wanting to bring a proper account system:

-System transfer from original 3DS to emunand
-backup emunand.bin +sdcard on your computer
-System transfer from emunand back to the original 3DS (need to wait 7 days)
-Restore the emunand.bin + sdcard
-both systems now have the games.

Sure, only the final system getting the transfer can redownload from the eshop, but still, imagine sharing all your eshop games with your family/friends, that's a Nintendo nightmare coming true... "Please understand".

It's not like it matters much though, considering you can get any game you want with Gateway 3DS.

I do think this is pretty useful for games like Animal Crossing and Pokemon X/Y. One person can buy the game on the eshop with emunand, then system transfer it to an unlimited amount of people (just make a backup of the SD after buying the game and restore it after each transfer, this should get around the 7 day limit.)

It has been done before since people knew how to downgrade via hardware mod. The bad part of this is that your games get deleted after you enter to the eShop in the system with cloned games.

You should edit the first post to explain that it does work and add those pictures you took.

My god, thank you for this amazing idea.

I also managed to do a System Transfer from a normal 3DS on SysNAND to my 3DS XL on 7.1 EmuNAND. I noticed something weird though... right after it got done it restarted and immediately tried to reconnect to the internet but it had pushed me out to my sysnand... since I didn't have wifi set up on there, it just closed. Going back into my EmuNAND restarted it up again and it finished. It also asked if I wanted to copy my dsiware titles to my system memory and I elected not to just to be careful (it said I can redownload them any time though). I am currently redownloading Pokemon X to see if my save still works.

Would this still work if one of the 3DS's has a Nintendo ID? or is that not a account system?

"You cannot perform a system transfer if the target system has a Nintendo Network ID linked. You must format the target system to remove the Nintendo Network ID link prior to transferring content."

I'm not sure if it will transfer the NID if the source system has one.

I'll backup my SD and then create an NNID to post on MiiUniverse; then see what will happen after I restore the NNIDless SD card backup.
I just realised this is offtopic

Really? My 7.1 3DS had an NNID and my 7.1 emuNAND doesn't have one yet it still lets me system transfer.

According to Nintendo, you can't transfer if the target, or receiving 3DS has a NNID. I guess it's fine if the source, or sending 3DS has one.

Alright here's a tip... doing this will NOT transfer over eShop titles or saves from them. What you need to do is copy the 3DS folder from the source SD card to the card with emunand. After I did this, my Pokemon X and my Mario and Luigi: Dream Team both showed up on my homescreen and the saves work. If you just do a transfer and try to redownload the games, you won't have your saves!

This means the System Transfer feature is secured as hell. It will only transfer tickets that are registered on Nintendo Servers, so it's just impossible to share cloned games; no work around on this.

So upset that i just sold my other 3ds with all my eshop stuff on it because I didnt think it would be possible to transfer. :(

After going back in time, before I created a NNID, the eShop is not allowing me access and it returns the error code 011-3136. Then after a second attempt, I got in, but it deleted everything I had D: This NNID sucked all of my downloads.

After reverting to the backup where the NNID was created, the eShop forced me to log in as it were the first time and showed a lot of introductory information, but my data wasn't deleted (fortunately).

Current situation:
Sys transferred my stuff to get it linked to my 4.5 3DS. Restored to an old nand backup inside of emuNAND so my realNAND and emuNAND can have the same console ID's on my SD card. eShop is showing me my ambassador games. Downloading them allows me to play them on emuNAND, but trying to play on realNAND tells me I have to redownload them. Is there any way I can get these games working inside of my 4.5 NAND or are they limited to which NAND I downloaded them on?

That's just a weird behaviour of emuNAND; you can't simply boot any game you get on emuNAND on realNAND.

Oh :/. I had been reading about other people who had mixed success with this very thing but apparently they were wrong. I'll just have to hope GW team fixes GBA mode in the next update.

So right now it seems that with the b2 release, system transfer between stock 3ds and emunand works?

Does anyone know if the retail games carts save file issue still exist? (i.e retail carts save files being corrupt when used in stock original as compared to emunand?)

So , help out here to see if I got this right. I can now system transfer from my 7.1 3ds to my gateway emunand 7.1 , copy my SD card contents and have them run on it (emunand) with all my previous saves and all , and then after 7 or so days system transfer again from my emunand to my "official" 7.1 3ds so that i will be able to redownload anything I delete from it again? (I don't really care for re-downloading stuff to my gateway machine, I just hate losing my savegames).
If I do so , and enter the eshop , will the games from the gateway machine that were re-transfered to the official machine be automatically deleted?
