Just bought a 3ds xl zelda edition loaded with great games but with a Nintendo ID. I have all the log in details which is fine but i have been offered an ambassador 3DS (no ID) with even more games on it.

I believe you cannot system transfer to a console with an ID. So....

Can I system transfer everything to the ambassador 3DS, merging all the games together, then a week later transfer it all back to the zelda XL including the ambassador titles?

Seems to make perfect sense to me but then again the NID is a bit of a dark art....

Just about to buy the ambassador model so would appreciate if anyone has a quick response.

Cheers

Well, i took the plunge and bought it as the console comes with a boxed copy of Zelda which I wanted anyway but I wont be performing the transfer until tomorrow evening at the earliest so if anyone knows of any problems with my plan please do let me know.

You can merge them BUT be careful. The ONLY way to do this is to transfer the content FROM the Nintendo ID locked console TO the Ambassador console. That will merge them and tie the Ambassador games to the NNID.

Also, you should change the password if you have not done so already for the NNID so the previous holder of the account cannot change it.

I understand, that is what I explained in the first post. My only concern is putting it all back to the XL...it should work as it would have been wiped to factory condition after the transfer so it will effectively be a repeat of the first transfer but with the ambassador titles merged.....:-)

I eventually had to contact a domestic abuse advocate to help me get out of the apartment I was in a lease with her. And filed a restraining order on her cuz she kept harassing me after i left her.

I cant justify $1k+ on a nice ass phone. I can spend that on a 75" tv screen. Why a 6" screen device cost me the same? lol

Nah a phones going to always be more powerful than a TV if the TVs $2grand maybe but why when I can put a smaller device in my pocket that does basically everything a TV already does

I can justify a decent $800 smartphone that'll last 3 years when I could get a 65" TV for $400 and buy a decent micro computer for $100 more
  • K3Nv2 @ K3Nv2:
Tbf there are decent $400 smartphones in today's market that make top end spec phones unjust it's just what you want
