Hacking System files are corrupt after installing preloader

and about the preloader thing., could you please enlighten me? not sure what may happen, but as long as I have preloader it should be fine.
 
no (or better, not quite sure). I have preloader .29 installed now. From what I get from SoftMii's

"If you are not a LU64+ (or its pal counterpart) then you install the CIOSCORP followed by cios60bf.wad. You must reinstall preloader at this point if you already have it."

, this wad messes with preloader, and I assume your tutorial does something similar.

So, my question is that, if something goes wrong, is it possible that some step messes with the preloader and I find no way to restore the system? I cannot install BootMii as boot2, that's my concern. Something like: following your tutorial, no matter what goes wrong, the preloader is always there to help restore things back. Or can some problem (following the tutorial) mess the system so much that preloader does not boot?

I am not looking for a disclaimer, just your opinion of it
