Hacking system file not found

I went to someone with a ds fat to update the firmware to Danny Phantom one
and I got the message "system file not found" when I entered my ak2i
was it because the file name of akmenu4.nds was renamed by mistake akmenu.nds ?
that's why it couldn't find it?
