Synth library in .mid?

I installed the Clavia Nord Lead Library from the Nord Lead website.
I installed it, open it, and it's a .mid file??
They say that any DAW is capable of using it, but mine (FL Studio) doesn't, so, how can I use this?

Heh FL Studio is usually the one many audio focused ROM hackers turn to as it is that much more amenable to odd instrument libraries than most other similar programs on the market. That said unless FL Studio got very silly in the last few years I can't imagine it does not support SMF format in some capacity, don't imagine it would be some SMF0 vs SMF1 issue either.

Being a contrarian bastard all my life though I eschew that in favour of smacking my head against openmpt until it works so I can't offer much assistance in this beyond simple searches ( https://producersociety.com/find-instruments-tutorial-fl-studio/ looks reasonable, even if it does not explicitly mention SMF).
