Hacking Discussion SX OS - Error and Solutions Thread

I am trying to launch the Cartdumper app from the Home-brew menu but no apps are showng. I just get the message about needing a switch folder on the sd card and putting the apps in it.
I have done this but still nothing shows up.
(I am doing this on a MAC)

OSX should not be at fault. Using it and many with me.

Just to verify;
1 - the switch folder you created is literally named "switch" and at the root of your sd-car right
2 - what is the current contents of the switch folder?
3 - for reference and troubleshooting; what type of micro sdxc is it?

Hmm all three the same brand / edition?
Seeing as I am using; sandisk ultra microSDXC UHS-I A1 400GB the 128GB model should work...
Does the Switch show it in Data Management at all?

In data management is show up free size but in rcm mode is not showing but in another switch work perfect iam just format my switch but didn't work

Wow weird man. Especially the other switch actually taking it like it should.
Sounds like something faulty but weird that you have it RCM. What payload are using?

Was not hoping to read you already tried multiple payloads.
But that is just weird, so in OFW mode you have an SDXC and in CFW you do not.
But only on this Switch ... hmmmm ... logic dictates that something is of then ... but well as your Switch can see it in OFW ... I have no idea what it could be really.

I ve received a sx os pro today. When i do all the process up to where i gotta go on album and activate it online , it tells me my license is invalid. Someone has pretty much used the code already, right?

you can try but i can guarantee you it wont
sx os does not emulate IR camera correctly, as well for nitendo labo games, or 1-2 switch eating minigame, that is why it crashes.

Ah I didn't know L.A Noire required the IR camera also

How is that site for you recently? Lately for me it's lagging like shit when trying to load pages and in general. Same goes for the other dark site.

I would say access instead of emulate to be honest
It's not like they are rewriting that part.

On a side note I did notice some weird behavior in SX CFW last night;
I tried using the album to actually post something to Facebook.
So I press and hold L access the album and selected a photo to post to Facebook.
It tried to to redirect the request to the backup loader.
Only way around that was to keep L pressed when going through the actions.

Perhaps that is still something they need to iron out.

A lot of the time it's seemed fine, but yeah it's been doing that some of the time. Not sure I know the other dark site.

I’m having the same exact problem, can’t boot sx os from the dongle or boot hekate, “sd init failed” or something. I’m using a sandisk ultra 64gb.

sorry do you do update to read Exfat when first enter micro sd?

I just bought a 200 GB SanDisk microsd from Amazon and I hope it works! (https://www.amazon.de/SanDisk-Ultra...o+sd+200gb&dpPl=1&dpID=51HHUmRprPL&ref=plSrch)

Will check if it's real (let's hope so, it's sold by Amazon itself) but I think/hope others have positive experiences with this card in combination with SX OS 1.2 as well?
