Hacking Switching from RGH to flashed

Hi,
I had a RGH corona that died and was not recoverable after multiple attempts.
I decided to purchase another one and had a good deal on a fat with flashed dvd.
I have no idea on what was flashed, when hw ; but the console is able to read burnt DVD.
I've used horizon to get my savegames back from the HDD of my rgh and i should be able to burn the few games i was playing.

A question remains, how difficult would it be to put this console in RGH and use my previous RGH HDD directly? It was really user-friendly for my kids, as DVD can really suffer from handling.

You should be able to plug your HDD onto the phatty aftet it got RGH'd and copy everything over.
Phatties just need their NAND read out and an Ace V3 chip soldered in

so basically, i would need to get a programmer to extract nand, and use a chip like acev3 to be RGH? any kernel restriction ?

Any recommendation about the programmer and chip?
not sure if it worth the investment..

EDIT : additional question, is it possible to get the game from my RGH as an ISO and burn it ? I had some cool games on it and quite hard to find torrent sources for this old console..

Or use an LPT cable yep.
Personally I'd say get a cheapo NAND-X or JR Programmer.

No kernel restrictions nope, RGH is unpatchable software wise.

is it possible to get games back from my RGH as an ISO and burn them on DVD? I had some cool games on it and quite hard to find torrent sources for this old console..That would allow to reduce the RGH need

I'd honestly say RGH it, much more advantageous then it being flashed ;p
But yes, that should work.

back on this topic.
I now own a Jr programmer v2 and a matrix glitcher V1.
I've made the dump, I've flashed one of the RGH1.2 timing via xvsf
but now, I'm looking for the soldering points for this chip (Falcon model)
What are in your experience the best points to use, or at least, the easiest ?

I've found multiple sources, this schema seems the most relevant. Any advice ??

Yep, just make sure you have a steady hand when soldering it on the points.
Don't let the CPU_RST wire run near any MOSFETs.

Not bad.

You could shorten the CPU_RST wire a tiny bit, see if it improves boottimes.
