I think there's a little weirdness here and there that's being worked on, some messaging bugs were squashed a week ago or so.

Well I added you manually and it worked... I really have no idea what the problem is in that case, and why it's only sometimes.

When i try and use youtube, i get "feature not implemented yet", is that to be expected ?
EDIT: theme was fucked, reset the theme and saw instructions for youtube.

Yeah that's Nintendo's fault, but SwitchTube still works. I'm not sure what this theme issue is but I hope to resolve it soon. Any chance you were using a custom theme?

Nope, This was on my first access to the DNS server. it was a black theme with purple writing.
I managed to get into settings, and click the white theme and now works fine.

256GB SD, with only hekate (with "nx-dreport" loaded aswell) and "Gagging order" and game saves on it)

Nope, This was on my first access to the DNS server. it was a black theme with purple writing.
I managed to get into settings, and click the white theme and now works fine.

Interesting. It's never happened to me before and there's literally nothing with purple writing so I honestly have no clue how that's happened, but I'm glad it's resolved. No problem anyway, I hope you enjoy using it.

I think we tested this a while back, but I don't remember the outcome. Either way, give it a try because it should work!

Hello, i have a 3.0.2 console, out of the box, have never connected to the internet. Is it safe or there could still be some hidden phone home requests in this firmware? Just want to check the homebrew and browse random sites.
Will the Switch accept just filling both fields with the same dns?

As far as I know there shouldn't be any way for it to communicate with a Nintendo server when using this DNS. I was on 3.0.0 for a while and never received any update nag.

That being said, if Nintendo wanted to add a phone home feature that operated outside of DNS, that would definitely be possible, we just haven't had an instance of that happening yet.

Also on 3.x you will likely get security/SSL warnings for some sites since the root CAs stored on the console are too far in the past to be valid.

I think it should work with the app store? I can't say for sure though, but give it a try! If it does then yes, no data will be sent to Nintendo.
