I know a lot of people are having the same issues and after reviewing many threads I haven't found the answer that works for me. So I was on 7.0.1OFW and Im using a fat32 sd card. All latest files for SX OS and Atmosphere. I can get the switch to show the atmosphere logo, then goes to the black atmosphere logo, then shows Nintendo, then goes back. I formatted the card and used fresh files. Still cannot get it to boot. I can also not get the switch into recovery mode for initialization. I was dumb and did not do anything with my NAND as far as backups etc, so that's a no go in restoring using that.

I DO have a SX Pro dongle and a payload.bin loader as well. If I can get into the OS I can update the FW using HB app. So any help is very much appreciated.

Have you tried a differnt cfw just to see if it loads ??

You say you were on 7.0.1, does that mean you updated?

Yeah, we need a little mroe info on this

Source Firmware:
Current Firmware:
Using Amotpshere Clean?
Using Sx Os?
Did you Update or Downgrade?
ExFat / Fat32?
Used Choidujour?
AutoRCM Enabled? --> If you dont have enough battery this sounds like a possible issue.

9.0.0 and failed halfway thru. The site I got it from is Darthsternie's.

Darthsternie firmware should work fine, never seen anyone have problem with files from there, that is what I normally use for Switch update, grab the latest Kosmos pack see if it boot.

current is unknown since the FW failed. Will not boot with SX OS OR Atmosphere 0.94. Was trying to upgrade from 7.0.1 to 9.0.0 from Darthsternies's website. Fat32 for sd card and yes using Choidujour and AutoRCM is active battery is at 72%

If it failed, then you need to do a manual firmware upgrade/ downgrade, due to your HOS probably broken due to the failed update :)

Still fixable.

You dont need to go past the logo, you only need it to enter RCM to get everything you need.

This is what the site is saying

  1. Insert your SD card into your Switch

  2. Launch Atmosphere CFW

  3. IMPORTANT: Plug your Switch in to prevent the Switch from dying midway through the install process

  4. Enter the Homebrew Menu through Album while holding the R button

  5. Select ChoiDujourNX

This might sound dumb, but did you make sure to update to the latest versions of SX OS and/or Atmosphere beforehand?
